The Minor Basilica of Saint Dominic in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, stands
as one of the oldest and most historically significant churches in Northern Luzon.
Its origins trace back to 1587, when Dominican missionaries established a
mission in the area formerly known as Binalatongan. In 1616, the first
permanent church was built under the patronage of St. Dominic de Guzman.
After enduring repeated destruction from earthquakes and uprisings, the church was rebuilt in 1773 under Fr. Francisco Ferrer, OP, and was completed in 1778, using bricks and adobe in grand Baroque style. A key moment in its history came on February 16, 2023, when Pope Francis granted it the title of Minor Basilica, elevating its spiritual and historical importance not only for San Carlos City but for the whole Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan. Today, the Basilica of Saint Dominic continues to stand as a beacon of enduring faith, rich history, and vibrant devotion. It is the spiritual heart of San Carlos City. Every day, but especially on his feast and first Sundays, people from all over the city and various towns of Pangasinan flock to the basilica to offer prayers and seek the powerful intercession of Ama Min Santo Domingo (Our Holy Father Saint Dominic), their beloved patron.

Rooted in faith and community, Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Calasiao stands as a living Church where tradition meets mission. Founded in 1588 by Spanish missionaries, it is one of the oldest parishes in Pangasinan and holds deep historical and spiritual significance for the region. Its present church, built in the 18th century, is a fine example of Baroque architecture and has been officially recognized as a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines. This heritage designation affirms its role not only as a place of worship but also as a custodian of local history and art. Known for its historic charm and spiritual heritage, the parish is more than a landmark—it is home to generations of faithful who gather not just for liturgy but for life shared in Christ. Here, worship is both solemn and joyful, centered on the Eucharist and enriched by devotions that speak to the heart of every parishioner. The parish reaches out beyond the altar through dynamic evangelization programs, empowering youth and adult ministries, and ongoing catechesis. Today, Sts. The Parish of Saint Thomas Aquinas covers the community of Christ’s faithful in the barangays of Banaoang, Bari, Embarcadero, Guiguilonen, Guilig, Inlambo, Macayug, Navaluan, Nibaliw, Osiem, Poblacion, Salay and Tebag – all located in the Municipality of Mangaldan. Mangaldan is the third town in Pangasinan to be founded by the Dominican missionaries. It is used to be a visita of Calasiao until the Dominican missionaries took it upon themselves to create an independent parish with Saint Thomas Aquinas as its titular in 1600. Fr. Pedro de Ledesma, OP and Fr. Thomas Castellar, OP were the first Dominican missionaries. The diocesan clergy took over the Parish in 1899 with Fr. Benigno Jimenez as the Parish Priest.
The Parish is now 425 years. The blossoming of the parish is attributed to Blessed John Martinez of Saint Dominic (1577-1619) who was once assigned in Mangaldan. Mangaldan is considered as the levitical town of Pangasinan, having produced bishops, priests and nuns.
Bishop Mariano Madriaga and Fr. Juan Sison started the construction of the current church in 1940. The Church measures 21 meters wide, 63 meters long and 16 meters high with a sitting capacity of 1,250. The belfry is 26 meters high.

The Santuario de Santa Barbara Holy Family Parish in Santa Barbara, Pangasinan. was known to be erected in 1742, making it one of the oldest churches in the province of Pangasinan. The church is a part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan.
In 1741, the Govierno General de Administracion Civil granted the petition of Dominican Father Manuel del Rio to establish the town of Tolong and build a church there. Then, a simple chapel
made of wood and cement was built. In 1742, the first parish took on baptisms, marriages, and deaths signed by Fr. Manuel Arango.
In 1743, Sta. Barbara (de Tolong) was accepted as a Dominican mission, hence, was placed under the care of a parish priest. In 1762, rebellions started and the people of Sta. Barbara went into hiding, leaving the small wooden church vulnerable and defenseless. Thus, it was set on fire in 1763.
The church was gradually rebuilt. However, the roof of the church and some parts of the structure was damaged by a typhoon in October 1776. The rebuilding of the second church began. Then, from 1800 to 1814, Fr. Baltazar Calderon completed the construction of the three-foot thick walls of the church, donning a beautiful facade and two small towers.
Fast forward to 1972, during the Papal visit of Pope Paul VI in the Philippines, the parish church was granted the title of Parish of the Holy Family, owing to the legendary biography of St.
Barbara.
Then it was declared as Santuario de Santa Barbara, on December 3, 2023, by Archbishop Socrates B. Villegas. The people of God in this community have grown in piety and devotion through the example and intercession of Santa Barbara. The Archbishop of Lingayen-Dagupan invokes his pastoral blessings upon the Catholic Faithful who visit the Santuario and pray for the intentions of the See of Lingayen-Dagupan.

The Most Holy Trinity Parish in Barangay Manzon, San Carlos City, Pangasinan, traces its beginnings to the establishment of the Pastoral Station of the Holy Trinity on May 24, 2016. Serving the communities of Barangays Balayong, Bolingit, Cruz, Doyong, Inerangan, Manzon, Matagdem, and Nelintap, the pastoral station quickly became a focal point for worship, fellowship, and outreach. Situated in Barangay Manzon, it stood as the spiritual heart of the area, drawing people together in faith and unity. After four years of steady growth and dedicated service, a new milestone was reached on August 15, 2020, when the Pastoral Station of the Holy Trinity was elevated to the status of a parish. This recognition reflected both the deepening spiritual life and the
maturing communal identity of its faithful. Now formally known as the Most Holy Trinity Parish, it continues to be a vibrant center of Catholic life, fostering unity among its diverse barangays and serving as a steadfast witness to the Gospel.
Today, the parish remains committed to its mission of nurturing faith and building a strong, Christ-centered community. Nestled in the southern part of Lingayen, Pangasinan, the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish stands as a young yet vibrant spiritual center for the faithful of Barangay Naguelguel and nearby communities. Established in 2011, this parish is one of the more recent additions to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lingayen–Dagupan. Despite its relatively recent foundation, the parish has already become a vital part of the religious life in the area, offering a strong sense of community, devotion, and mission. The parish is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, whose feast day is celebrated every June 16. This devotion highlights Mary’s pure love and unwavering faithfulness to God, serving as a model for the parishioners’ own spiritual journey. The parish celebrates this feast with heartfelt liturgical services and community activities that draw together not just regular attendees, but also visitors and devotees from surrounding barangays. Under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Martin Peralta, MS, the parish continues to grow both spiritually and communally. Fr. Martin, a member of the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette, plays an instrumental role in nurturing the faith life of the parishioners through the celebration of the sacraments, pastoral care, and the promotion of various ministries. The church serves as more than just a place of worship; it is a center for evangelization and service, reaching out to both the devout and the marginalized in the community. The Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish is under the Vicarate of Epiphany of Our Lord Co-Cathedral Parish which includes several other parishes across Lingayen. Together, these parishes work to serve the pastoral and spiritual needs of the broader Catholic community in Archdiocese of Lingayen Dagupan. Through this network, the parish maintains a strong connection with the wider archdiocesan mission and vision. Rooted in faith, service, and Marian devotion, the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish stands as a beacon of hope and unity in the local Church, fostering a vibrant Catholic presence in southern Lingayen. As a vibrant center of faith and evangelization, the parish remains steadfast in its mission to bring the faithful closer to God through the regular celebration of the sacraments and various devotional practices. The parish offers daily Eucharistic celebrations, solemn Sunday liturgies, regular opportunities for confession, and devotions that nurture the spiritual life of the community.

In the Southern Area of the parish, Saturday Masses follow a rotating schedule among four chapels, ensuring that the spiritual needs of all communities are regularly met. Each
Saturday, two chapels host Masses at staggered times. On one Saturday, the faithful gather at Wawa Chapel at 4:00 PM, followed by Mass at Aliwekwek Chapel at 5:00 PM. On the following Saturday, the schedule shifts to Basing East Chapel at 4:00 PM and Basing West Chapel at 5:00 PM. (Sunday Masses) The parish church offers two Sunday Masses to accommodate the central community. The first Mass begins at 5:30 AM, followed by a second celebration at 8:30 AM.
Additionally, in the spirit of outreach and pastoral care, the parish extends its Sunday services to the Southern Area. Masses are held in three chapels during the afternoon: Malawa Chapel at 4:00 PM, Rosario Chapel at 5:00 PM, and Lasip Chapel at 6:00 PM. These afternoon celebrations ensure that all members of the parish, regardless of location, have the opportunity to partake in the Holy Eucharist and remain united in faith. Through this thoughtfully arranged schedule of Eucharistic celebrations, the parish demonstrates its deep commitment to spiritual nourishment, inclusivity, and the pastoral care of all its members. By bringing the sacraments to the faithful across various communities, the parish continues to be a beacon of unity and grace in the life of the Church. For the past 15 years, the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish has been a source of spiritual strength, community, and service. Since its establishment as a parish in 2011, the church has flourished under the guidance of three dedicated Priests, a member of the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette. Rev. Fr. Micheal Dexter Linga, MS (2011-2017) The journey began with Rev. Fr. Micheal Dexter P. Linga, MS, who served as the first parish priest from 2011 to 2017. Fr. Michael laid the foundation for a strong, faith-filled community. His leadership emphasized spiritual growth, liturgical richness, and fostering a sense of unity. He helped establish key pastoral programs and outreach initiatives that made the parish more involved in the local community, setting the stage for future growth. Rev. Fr. Jasper Tiongquico, MS (2017-2022) Following Fr. Michael, Rev. Fr. Jasper Tiongquico, MS served from 2017 to 2022, continuing to build upon the parish's success. Fr. Jasper focused on engaging the parish ministries, especially through programs for young families. His leadership saw an expansion of social outreach efforts, deepening the parish commitment to service, and strengthening the sense of belonging for all generations within the community. Rev. Fr. Martin Peralta, MS (2022-Present) Currently, Rev. Fr. Martin Peralta, MS leads the parish. Since 2022, Fr. Martin has continued to nurture the spiritual life of the community, placing emphasis on deeper faith formation, inclusive worship, and outreach to the marginalized. His warm leadership style has helped maintain the parish’s strong sense of community, while encouraging more active participation in various ministries.
Over the past 15 years, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish has evolved from its establishment in 2011 into a thriving community of faith, service, and spiritual growth. The journey of this parish is not just defined by its physical presence, but by the profound impact it has had on the hearts and lives of its members. From the very beginning, the leadership of three dedicated priests has been instrumental in shaping the parish's identity and mission. Each priest brought their own unique vision, fostering a spirit of inclusivity and devotion to the teachings of Christ. Under their guidance, the parish was not only a place of worship but also a haven for spiritual nourishment, a place where individuals could find both personal and collective meaning in their relationship with God.
Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish has also engaged in many activities. This
proves that the church is actively participating not only in spiritual matters but also in initiatives that foster community involvement and social development. One notable example is its involvement in the celebration of the barangay feast in honor of its patron saint, the Immaculate Heart of Mary. During this time, the parish organizes a variety of religious and community-oriented events such as novena Masses, processions, feeding programs, and cultural presentations. These activities not only strengthen the faith of the parishioners but also promote unity, cooperation, and joy among residents. Through such engagements, the parish continues to serve as a center of spiritual guidance and a strong pillar of community life.

he Holy Rosary Parish in Calmay, Dagupan City, was established in 1973. It is
officially known as the Most Holy Rosary Parish and has a Facebook page, Most Holy Rosary Parish (Calmay), for the parish. The parish is dedicated to the Holy Rosary, a devotion that has a long history within the Catholic Church, with roots tracing back to the 3rd and early 4th centuries. The episcopal coronation of the image of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary took place last October 21, 2023 by Most Rev. Socrates B. Villegas, DD. The parish church offers daily Eucharistic celebrations, solemn Sunday liturgies, regular confessions, and devotional praying of the Holy rosary every morning at 6:30 and 6:00pm honoring Our Lady of the Rosary. The Parish does an outreach program to the poor such as feeding the malnourish children and indigent people. The catholic faithful offers their time, talent, treasure for their love of God and for their neighbors. The Parish invites the people to enter and to avail the sacraments and para-litiurgical activities of the parish church through Mary. This signifies a Catholic devotion of consecrating oneself to Jesus through the intercession and guidance of the Virgin Mary. It's a practice of entrusting one;s spiritual life to Mary's maternal care, believing she will lead individuals closer to her son, Jesus, and to God. This devotion is not meant to replace God but rather to strengthen

What began in the mid-1950s as a humble peach-colored chapel in Canan Norte—built through the generosity of Doña Correa Gumtang—has grown into the vibrant Our Mother of Perpetual Help Parish of Canan Norte, Malasiqui, Pangasinan. Once a small oratory serving a handful of Catholic families who braved long walks to attend the rare monthly Mass, it is now a flourishing center of worship and community life.
Today, the parish stands as a spiritual home where the faithful gather regularly for the Holy Eucharist, sacraments, and devotions to Our Mother of Perpetual Help. Evangelization thrives through catechism and youth formation, while outreach programs and charitable missions embody Christ’s compassion for the poor. Guided by the spirit of pananabangan—stewardship the parish community continues to grow in faith, hope, and love, carrying forward the legacy of devotion and service planted decades ago.
Oral tradition traces the humble origin of St. Gabriel Parish to a modest gathering of devotees that would do their regular novena and holy rosary under a shade of bamboo and nipa shingles that stood on the lot owned by the late Juan Jovellanos (near the intersection of Ayusip Street now Prado Street). Sometime between 1936 to 1939 the shanty was replace by a more stable structure consisting of iron sheet wallings, wooden posts and thinly cemented flooring. In time the faithful of Bonuan Boquig were privileged to have their own masses celebrated in the Ermita by visiting priests. On July 3, 1943 the Ermita eventually was canonically registered as a parish with St. Gabriel the Archangel as patron Saint. Through the years, the faithful of St. Gabriel Parish has struggled to live the spirit of their patron in forming a communion of
faith, hope and love, a spirit that never tires to proclaim the good news of salvation to all people of good will.

This spirituality of stewardship is lived out in the various ministries of the parish church. ‘Pray, hope, and don’t worry’—this reminder from Padre Pio is held close in the heart of pilgrims who visit our Parish. Through the intercession of Padre Pio, the parish has become haven of physical and spiritual healing, a pilgrim Church for devotees, and a home of miracles, not only to those from Pangasinan, but even from nearby provinces. Thousands flock during the Healing Mass every 23 rd of the month, a devotional Eucharistic celebration invoking the help of Padre Pio. There are already many documented stories of healing, personal conversions and answered prayers. Situated at the heart of an agricultural community four kilometers from the city proper, Padre Pio Parish covers four barangays, organized into sitios and Basic Ecclesial Communities, where most are bamboo weavers and farmers. To reflect the life of the people, the Church structure is adorned with architectural designs featuring bamboo, weaves, corn and rice stalks as expression of inculturation. Our community strives to live out the spirit of Pananabangan (communio) in different aspects of our parish life evident in volunteerism, community organizing, BECs, social services programs for the poor and other ministries.

Annunciation of the Lord Parish (ALP), located in Bonuan Gueset, Dagupan City,
Pangasinan, was founded in November 1988, when the late Archbishop Federico G. Limón, S.V.D., D.D., officially erected it as a parochial church. For more than 35 years, ALP has been faithfully announcing the Good News to the people of Barangay Bonuan Gueset.
The Simbahan ya Bato—literally “stone church” in the local dialect—is a traditional Spanish-era stone church situated next to the Annunciation of the Lord Parish, often referenced as the old church of the community. The unique architecture—including circular design cues and enduring stone construction—reflects the devotion of early parishioners and the legacy of the Spanish clergy who shepherded the faithful in Bonuan Gueset. The Simbahan ya Bato symbolizes the deep-rooted Christian heritage of the community. Though parish life now centers around the newer Annunciation of the Lord Parish church, the Simbaan ya Bato continues to remind visitors and parishioners of the faith and resilience of past generations.
The parish celebrates its annual fiesta on March 25, marking the Feast of the Annunciation. In its 30th year, ALP held a year-long celebration with various activities each month, culminating in the hosting of the Christ the King Celebration 2018 at Tondaligan, Bonuan Gueset, Dagupan City.
Among the parish’s cherished traditions is the Panunuluyan dramatization during Christmas, in which the Parish Youth Ministry performs a reenactment of the birth of Jesus—complete with costumes and props—presented in front of Simbaan ya Bato. Another highlight is the "Abet-Abet" celebration at dawn on Easter Sunday, held at the seashore of Tondaligan Beach. This unique event features a fluvial parade symbolizing the meeting of Jesus and Mary, with St. John the Evangelist also taking part. Carried by local fishermen, the images are brought ashore where the faithful gather for the Eucharistic Mass. This celebration reflects the deep cultural heritage and Catholic faith of the community, and is often joined by local government officials. ALP also places strong emphasis on youth formation. Every year, the parish conducts its
Summer Catechism program for young Catholic students during their academic break. This initiative seeks to strengthen their faith and deepen their knowledge of Jesus. At the conclusion of the program, participants receive school supplies through the parish’s Balik-Eskwela Project, distributed during the annual Children’s Festival.
For over three decades, Annunciation of the Lord Parish has been a steadfast beacon of faith, culture, and community in Bonuan Gueset, Dagupan City. Through its rich traditions, vibrant celebrations, and commitment to nurturing the faith of the youth, the parish continues to live out its mission of proclaiming the Good News. We warmly invite you to come, visit, and experience the beauty of our faith community. Join us in prayer, celebrate the sacraments, and
take part in our parish activities. Annunciation of the Lord Parish is a place of peace, reflection, and renewed spiritual strength.
